The IPL will run for 47 days. Each team will play 14 matches in the league. Of these, 7 matches will be played in the home ground. Kings XI Punjab selected Mohali and Indore as home Gujarat Lions will play Rajkot and Kanpur. The IPL final will be played on May 21 in Hyderabad.
IPL will be played in Indore. After the successful India-New Zealand Test, they were the claimants for the IPL match. Kings XI Punjab will play 4 home matches in Mohali. The remaining three matches will be played in Indore. This decision was not good for Mohali in the past few years.

Kolkata Knight Riders will face Mumbai Indians in the first match on April 9. The return game will be played on 13 May in Eden. That is the last league match of the IPL. Gujarat Lions will play home match in Kanpur
